Parliamentary Structure
The Legislative Assembly of Samoa is a unicameral parliament that serves as the country's national legislature. Based in Apia, it consists of elected representatives who serve for terms of up to five years.
Working alongside the O le Ao o le Malo (Head of State), the Assembly forms the core of Samoa's democratic system, blending Westminster parliamentary practices with traditional Samoan governance structures.
